I'm using a Logitech C615 webcam. My desktop MB is an ASUS Z87-Expert. My OS is Win 7 ultimate 64 bit. I'm using LWS version 2.51. Nothing is showing on the LWS viewer. webcamtests.com has no issues and works fine. LWS used to work but now, nothing is showing on its viewer. Skype for web works fine but the client version is unable to access it. Same with Zoom, online version is ok but the client app is unable to detect it. Facebook messenger is unable to access it except when using Opera browser. Please email answer to ***@***. I suspect the following but am unable to pin down precise issue; Microsoft patch, antivirus firewall, usb port or faulty webcam device. Please help.

This issue has been resolved by upgrading my OS to Windows 10. I have a laptop still running Windows 7 but its only difference from ASUS desktop is that its OS never applied Microsoft patches for a long time. The LWS software worked on it hence, the culprit. Whatever that patch is, it is aimed to make some devices to stop working and you'll have no choice but to get rid of Windows 7 and upgrade to Windows 10. Dirty, don't you think? Everything works under Windows 10. Lesson; When Microsoft starts announcing that they will stop supporting your Windows version at the same time while a new version has come out, you better save up to get the new OS version or suffer the same fate. Shame on Microsoft especially the one who created the patch to disable functionality of devices under old versions. Oh wait, wasn't there a news back then that a big person in Microsoft made the world aware about some sort of pandemic was about to occur? That person probably also knew that pandemics will cause lock downs. Lock down means working from home making webcam functionality becomes essential. Dirty, dirty, dirty! This website is dirty too I noticed. Look at the junk comments. So useless!
